Pet portraits

Every portrait is cut and layered by hand from textured papers, on acid-free card. Rachael works from your photos, so you see your own animal's ears, markings and look, not a type of dog.

From your photo to the wall

Real commissions, each with the photo it started from. Most of these were taken on a phone.

Questions

Anything not here, ask Rachael when you send your request.

What makes a good photo?

Bright daylight, sharp focus and your pet at their own eye level, looking towards the camera. Send a few if you have them; Rachael will tell you which one will work best.

Can you do more than one animal?

Each portrait is one animal. For two or more together, mention it in your request and Rachael will quote for it.

Is it only dogs and cats?

Not at all. Horses, birds, sheep and wombats have all been on her table. If you love it, she'll have a go.

How do I pay?

There is no checkout. Once Rachael has seen your photos and you've agreed on the portrait, she emails an invoice you can pay by card or PayPal.

How long does it take?

Rachael to confirm: current turnaround

Does it make a good gift?

It's the most common reason people ask. Say it's a gift and when you need it by, and Rachael will tell you straight away whether she can make it in time.

Ready to send a photo?

It takes a couple of minutes, and nothing is charged until Rachael has replied.
